Al Carpinelli brings 30+ years of technology industry experience to his role as account executive these eight past years at Logic Solutions. He specializes in systems integration business development, helping clients bring their web presence forward in great strides, at the same time integrating and taking full advantage of investments in their legacy systems. As the higher education consultant at Logic Solutions, he manages projects for various institutions, including the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University and Wayne State University. Before coming to Logic, he worked in Relationship/Direct Marketing Services (CRM), at a Big 5 consulting firm, and as an account executive with a large computer technology manufacturer.
Other career highlights include more than eight years experience in technical sales support and consulting services management, including systems analysis and programming, database design, and technical systems support.
Bill Michels has enjoyed a distinguished career in senior management with SCM Corporation, Durkee Famous Foods, Boise Cascade, Campbell Soup Company and Vlasic Foods.
In consulting, he has worked with global multi-national companies in regulated and non-regulated industries across a wide spectrum of business sectors and countries.
The key focus of this work has been his ability to deliver a transformation process that has led clients to increased profitability, enhanced staff competence and to achieve sustainable cost improvements beyond the departure of ADR.
Under his leadership, ADR North America has achieved year on year growth and has become a leading purchasing consulting firm in North America. Bill is a sought after speaker and writer for many events and publications. He is also author of the book "Transform Your Supply Chain".

Joe Lorenz is an attorney in private practice in the field of corporate and purchasing law who specializes in automotive-related commercial matters and corporate transactions.
Joel holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Michigan State University. Mr. Lorenz’ entire legal career has been focused on the automotive industry, and he benefits from the experience of having represented the interests of OEM’s and suppliers of all sizes in a wide variety of transactions.
Joel's presentation will include a brief overview of the bankruptcy process and the terminology that is involved, and then focus on what purchasing managers should do if one of their customers or suppliers goes into bankruptcy.
